Revenue per thousand (RPM) calculator

Worked example

$1,250 in ad revenue across 100,000 pageviews is $12.50 per 1,000 pageviews.

See the formula

Revenue per thousand = revenue ÷ count × 1,000.

How to interpret the result

Choose pageviews for page RPM or ad impressions for impression RPM. The same $1,250 across 250,000 ad impressions is $5 per 1,000 impressions. Both figures can describe the same period. Compare rates only when they use the same denominator and include the same kinds of revenue.

Publisher example

$600 across 50,000 pageviews is $12 per thousand. The same $600 across 150,000 ad impressions is $4 per thousand impressions. Label the unit before comparing reports.
