How to interpret the result
Include both unsubscribes and other removals. A negative rate means the list shrank.
Publisher example
A list starts at 2,000, adds 100 and removes 150. Net growth is −2.5% even though new readers joined. Split voluntary and administrative removals if the decline needs explaining.
